Free A/B provenance auditor · nothing is uploaded
What did the platform strip from your file?
You embedded provenance and disclosure in your master. Then the platform re-saved it. Drop the master and the copy you downloaded back — the Strip Report diffs them signal by signal with the same engine the checker uses, and prices the damage in score points.
1 · Drop your MASTER file
The file as you exported it, before upload.
2 · Drop the PLATFORM COPY
The same file, downloaded back from the platform after posting.
Guesses vs. measurements
The internet is full of claims about which platforms strip what — most of them untested, many of them stale the day a pipeline changes. The Strip Report takes the opposite approach: it claims nothing about any platform in general. It measures your pair of files, with the checker's own provenance engine, and reports exactly which signals lived and which died on that one round trip. Run it per platform, per format, whenever a pipeline matters to you.
Questions
How do I get the platform copy of my file?
Post the file, then download the image back from the platform: open your post, view the full-size image, and save it — or use the platform's download or data-export option where one exists. What you save is the copy the platform actually serves to viewers, re-saved by its pipeline. That served copy, not your upload confirmation screen, is the honest thing to diff.
Why would a platform strip my disclosure?
Usually as a side effect, not a decision about your file: platforms re-encode uploads to standard sizes and formats, and re-encoding rebuilds the file container — dropping metadata segments the pipeline was not built to carry. Some strip metadata deliberately for privacy (GPS is the obvious case). Either way the disclosure effect is the same, which is why measuring your own before-and-after pair beats reading anyone's general claims.
What can I do about stripped provenance?
Disclose in layers that fail independently: a visible label in the creative (it is part of the image data, so metadata processing cannot remove it), disclosure wording in the caption or post copy, the platform's own AI-label toggle at upload, and embedded provenance for the platforms that document reading it. If one layer is stripped, the others still reach the viewer.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Both files are read and diffed by JavaScript running in your browser; nothing leaves your device. You can confirm it in your browser's network panel — dropping a file makes no upload request.
